English Adults Track Workshop Speaker
Pastor Caleb Chiu
Caleb and his wife, Carmen, are lead pastors at Church of Zion in Vancouver, the church his parents founded in 1982 and where he has been building alongside them ever since. He and Carmen love the local and global church and desire to see multiple generations walking in harmony and serving together.
After 24 years as an elementary school teacher, Caleb has accumulated a few things in abundance: patience, grey hairs, and children’s jokes that still aren’t funny but somehow keep making it into sermons. He believes in bringing people together, old and young, East and West, even if the only thing uniting them is their shared groan.
In all seriousness, Caleb has the privilege of serving with Watchmen for the Nations, a global relational network of people from many cultures, denominations, and spheres of influence, where he helps lead and mentor worship at Global Gatherings. Carmen still teaches in the public school system, so summers are for travelling and recharging with their two children.
At the center of it all is a simple desire: to build a resting place the Father longs for, a home where He can be with His children (Isaiah 66:1).
