Rev. Ray Chia

Ray serves as the Intercultural Congregation Lead Pastor (English) at Westwood Alliance Church in Coquitlam, Canada.

He is passionate about seeing all peoples (especially youth and young adults) grow deeper in Christ and be mobilized for His mission. Over the years, Ray has participated in numerous short-term mission trips as a congregant, and as a pastor, he continues to lead the next generation to engage the world through hands-on missional experiences. In his most recent adventure, he spent part of his sabbatical in Taiwan for personal missions enrichment.

Together with his wife Andia, who also serves as a pastor at Westwood, Ray feels called to be a full-time international worker. Though God has temporarily closed the door to overseas missions, He has opened other doors for them to serve at Westwood, where they joyfully mobilize the church to live out God’s mission locally and globally. Ray, Andia, and their toddler son Nestor continue to pray and trust that, in His timing, God will one day send them out as a missionary family.
